Tea & Spoon Nanaya - Open for business!

This Shibuya located shop has become famous for one thing in particular. It supposedly has the world's most powerful matcha gelato. People are already queueing around the block to check it out.

Near Aoyama Gakuin University, this shop often has queues of 50 people or more, with lines growing throughout the day! The interior is clean and simple, just like their gelato.

You can choose how deep you want the matcha flavour of the Nanaya gelato on a scale of one to 7. With No.7 using premium matcha. If you plan to make the trip, we recommend going the whole hog and treating yourself to a No. 7.

The flavour really is that intense. The blend of sweet and bitter is something unique that true matcha lovers know well, and this is perhaps the greatest way to experience it.

If matcha isn't your thing, then they have a variety of other flavours, with traditional Japanese and standard ice-cream ones available.
