A large-scale solo exhibition by Takashi Murakami, who is active at the forefront of contemporary art, will be held from Saturday, February 90, 2024 to Sunday, September 2, 3 at the Kyocera Museum of Art, Kyoto, which is celebrating its 2024th anniversary. .

For Murakami, who has been active mainly overseas and challenged the international art scene where Europe and the United States have become the de facto norm from a Japanese perspective, this is his first major exhibition outside of Tokyo in about eight years. This will be a large-scale solo exhibition.

This exhibition will be held in Kyoto, where Murakami, who majored in Japanese painting at university, was greatly influenced and deeply interested in the Edo period painters, where all kinds of performing arts and art still live and intersect. Ru.
