"Hello Kitty Exhibition - When I change, Kitty changes too" explores the charm of Hello Kitty, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary

An exhibition commemorating Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary, "Hello Kitty Exhibition - When I Change, Kitty Changes," will be held at the Tokyo National Museum Hyokeikan (Taito-ku, Tokyo) from Friday, November 2024, 11 to Monday, February 1, 2025 (holiday).

Half a century has passed since her birth, and Hello Kitty now has merchandise available in over 130 countries and regions. She greets friends she meets all over the world with "Hello," and has always treasured her relationships with each and every person she meets in order to convey the message of "everyone getting along."

This exhibition will unravel the uniqueness of Hello Kitty through various themed exhibition corners. In addition to the largest number of goods on display in the history of the exhibition, the venue will also feature collaborative works with unique artists, original video content, and photo spots.



Advance tickets, which will be on sale until Thursday, October 10, will also include a ticket with an original Hello Kitty tote bag (Ticket Pia exclusive). This is a limited edition, so we recommend checking early.

[Venue] Hyokeikan, Tokyo National Museum (13-9 Ueno Park, Taito-ku, Tokyo)
[Opening hours] 9:30-17:00 (until 19:00 on Fridays and Saturdays) (entry is available until 30 minutes before closing)
[Closed] Mondays (open on national holidays and public holidays, closed the following day. Open on Monday, February 2th.)
Closed on Tuesday, December 12th and from Thursday, December 17th to Wednesday, January 12st, 26.
*Only Hyokeikan will be open on December 12th (Tue) and December 24th (Wed)
[Admission fee] Adults 2,000 yen (1,800 yen), University and vocational school students 1,800 yen (1,600 yen), Junior high and high school students 1,600 yen (1,400 yen), Elementary school students 1,000 yen (800 yen)
*Prices include tax. (Prices in parentheses are advance ticket prices. Advance tickets will be on sale until October 10st (Thursday).
* Free for preschool children, people with disabilities and one caregiver. Please present your disability certificate when entering.
*The admission ticket for this exhibition will also allow you to view the General Cultural Exhibition (permanent exhibition) on the same day. However, this is only available on the days when the General Cultural Exhibition is held.
