Tomoko Yoneda continues to take photographs that evoke layers of memories behind scenes filled with poetic sensibility. In this exhibition, she displays works that capture the majesty of nature and the essence of the energy of life, along with the beauty of ice crystals, which are woven together in the natural world.
This year, Chiso Gallery is organizing an exhibition around the theme of "displacement," which shows that behind what appears to be one or a series of elements there are multiple elements that exist while being displaced. It also focuses on the changes and new developments that "displacement" brings about.
Yoneda's solo exhibition, which focuses on ice crystals with similar structures, also deeply resonates with this theme of "displacement." The miracles that nature creates are reminiscent of the flow that surrounds us, where changes resonate and create chain reactions, and even new changes.
Chiso Gallery is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station on the subway. Why not stop by during your sightseeing or shopping trip?
