The Seiko House Hall in Wako, Ginza will host an exhibition called "Kogei Crossroads - Past, Present, and Future" by four up-and-coming artists who are attempting to express their works in a way that resonates with the times. The exhibition will run from Thursday, November 4th to Sunday, December 11th.

Participating in the event will be four craftspeople who are earnestly engaged in the state of contemporary crafts in their respective fields: glass, kirigane, metalwork, and lacquerware.
Tomofumi Ishida is a glass artist who aims to inherit and develop new forms of "cast glass," a style that combines form and pattern to create a soft look.

Eri Tomoko has incorporated the decorative technique of "kirigane," in which gold or platinum leaf is cut into thin lines or small pieces to create patterns, into the field of crafts, creating an elegant and majestic world on the surface of vessels.

Tomoya Murose is a lacquer artist who uses traditional lacquer techniques such as maki-e, raden, and hyomon to delicately and lyrically express his own inner landscapes and the cycle of life.
This exhibition brings together four individual artists from different fields, all with the spirit of "creating tradition." As the title suggests, the content gives a glimpse into the future of crafts, making it a must-see.
