The Itsuseikai group, led by dancer Onoe Kikunojo and Kyogen performer Shigeyama Ippei, will hold a special performance to commemorate their 15th anniversary at the Kongo Noh Theater in Kyoto on Saturday, March 3th. Kabuki actor Nakamura Ganjiro IV will appear as a guest.

"Itseikai" is a duo that transcends genres and pursues the possibilities of dance and kyogen as new forms. For their 15th anniversary performance, Japan's three major traditional performing arts, Japanese dance, kyogen, and kabuki, will come together on one stage.
The biggest highlight of the festival will be a special performance of the Itseikai production "Itarikitari" starring Nakamura Ganjiro. Don't miss out on the new wind that this guest from the Kabuki world will bring to the Itseikai.
Other performances that can be enjoyed include a new piece commemorating the 15th anniversary, "Ofuda," a Japanese dance piece called "Shojo" by Onoe Kikunojo and Onoe Kyo, and a Noh play called "Futari Hakama" by all three generations of the Shigeyama family.
The group has created over 10 original works, which are a fusion of Japanese dance and Kyogen, and are highly regarded as art that transcends the boundaries of genres. We hope you will come to the venue to witness the culmination of their 15th anniversary.
