The concept for this year's 23rd event is "Sou" (music). It will lift the spirits of people walking through the city, bringing Ginza together in harmony.
The popular "Ginchakai" event will be held on Sunday, October 26th, where the streets of Ginza will be transformed into an outdoor tea ceremony. Tea ceremonies based on the six schools of tea ceremony and Sencha tea ceremony, as well as a "First Time Tea Ceremony Experience" will be held at 12 locations around Ginza Street. Applications will be accepted by lottery in advance, and applications will be accepted until Wednesday, October 8th. The results will be announced on Wednesday, October 15th.
Also, don't miss the original Japanese sweets that famous Ginza shops have put their heart and soul into, which will only be available on this day. Matsuya Ginza and Ginza Mitsukoshi will be selling a set of some of their original sweets (6 pieces for 2,700 yen).
