Tokarin, a Chinese restaurant operated by The Okura Tokyo, will host the "Supreme Gourmet Feast - Shanghai Cuisine Fair" for a limited time from Tuesday, November 18th to Sunday, November 30th, 2025, inviting chefs from three hotels in Shanghai, China that embody history, tradition, and innovation: Shanghai Peace Hotel (Fairmont Peace Hotel), Park Hotel Shanghai, and J Hotel Shanghai Tower.
This fair is a special gourmet feast made possible by inviting chefs from three leading hotels in the Jin Jiang International Group, the largest hotel group in China and owner of the Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai, a group hotel of Okura Hotels & Resorts.
This is a very rare opportunity to see four chefs: Ma Haocheng, executive Chinese chef of the group's iconic Shanghai Peace Hotel; Dong Jiajun, executive chef of the Chinese restaurant Yunlou at the four-star Park Hotel Shanghai, which embodies cultural and historical values; Cai Pengfei, head chef of Heavenly Jin at J Hotel Shanghai Tower, the group's highest-end brand that opened in 2021 and symbolizes innovation; and Chen Longcheng, executive chef of the Chinese restaurant Taohualin, operated by the Okura Tokyo.

Since its founding in 1929, the Shanghai Peace Hotel (Fairmont Peace Hotel), a symbol of Shanghai, has carved its name into history with its elegant Art Deco design. Executive Chinese Chef Ma Haocheng, a native of Shanghai, has been passionate about his local Shanghai cuisine for over 25 years. After training at Shanghai's leading Cantonese restaurant, Han Palace, he furthered his training at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in San Francisco. He has received numerous honors, including the Cultural Heritage Award from Forbes China's Top 30 Outstanding Chefs Selection Committee in 2023 and the title of Shanghai Model Worker in 2025.

Yunrou Executive Chef Dong Jiajun
Founded in 1934, Park Hotel Shanghai is a four-star classic hotel with a long history under the Jinjiang Group. In 2006, it was designated a "National Key Cultural Heritage Protection Unit (National-Level Cultural Asset)" by China, and is highly regarded as a historical building. The tip of the flagpole on the top floor of the hotel is designated as the origin of Shanghai's urban coordinates and is known as a symbolic presence. Dong Jiajun, executive chef of "Yunlou," has been highly praised in the Chinese culinary world, having multiple top prizes in the "Jinjiang Cup" skills competition hosted by the Jinjiang International Group. Currently, as executive chef of Shanghai Park Hotel "Yunlou," he proposes new Shanghai cuisine based on the theme of tradition and fusion.

Chef Tsai Pengfei of Heavenly Jin
J Hotel Shanghai Tower, scheduled to open in 2021, is an urban luxury hotel located on the 84th to 105th floors, including the 120th floor, of the Shanghai Tower (610 meters above ground), China's tallest skyscraper. Chef Cai Pengfei of Heavenly Jin has honed his skills at renowned Shanghai and Huaiyang cuisine restaurants, cultivating a deep culinary philosophy and insight into fine cuisine for over 20 years. He assumed the position of chef at Heavenly Jin in 2020. He specializes in utilizing the delicate knife skills and exquisite heat control characteristic of Huaiyang cuisine to bring out the full flavor of seasonal ingredients. He has received numerous accolades, including the title of National Senior Technician in 2021 and the Best Chef of the Year award at the Olive China Restaurant Awards in 2023.

Chinese Restaurant "Toukarin" Executive Chef Chen Longcheng
He joined Taisei Kanko Co., Ltd. (now Hotel Okura Co., Ltd.) in 1983. After serving as head chef at Guam Hotel Okura Tokarin and executive chef at Okura Chiba Hotel, he has held his current position since 2011. In 2021, he was awarded the "Outstanding Craftsman (Contemporary Master Craftsman)" award by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. He was also awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal in the autumn of 5 in recognition of his many years of contribution to the Chinese culinary world.
