Jyugetsudo’s Kuradashi-cha (Aged Tea) uses the first harvest of Japanese Green Tea, harvested in early summer and aged inside tea jars. The tea leaves were aged in low temperature, specially for the prestigious Palace Hotel Tokyo. To celebrate the beginning season of the tea, the seal of the jar are broken to taste the flavor of the first tea. This tea ceremony is called the “Kuchikiri no Chaji”. For those who enjoy Japanese tea, the ceremony is received as a delightful event as equal as New Years.

Guests can relax as if they are at their own home living room at The Palace Lounge. The beautiful view of water and trees around the Imperial Palace moats can be enjoyed from the hotel windows.
The Autumn Afternoon Tea is presented based on the theme of “Enjoying Japanese Tea in Autumn”. Guests can spend an elegant afternoon at the Palace Hotel Tokyo with a fascinating discovery in Japanese Tea, while enjoying the autumn view and cup of first harvest matcha.
