Ginza Wako has collaborated with the prestigious Florentine scarf brand "Faliero Sarti" to release a special order scarf depicting the Ginza cityscape.
Stole size 140cm x 180cm 90% rayon, 10% cashmere 66,000 yen (tax included)
This humorous illustration by Italian illustrator Paolo Fiumi depicts a map of Ginza and seasonal scenes, and is a limited edition item that can only be purchased at Wako. In the center of the scarf are landmarks such as the Wako main store with its clock tower, the Ginza 4-Chome intersection, and the Kabukiza Theater.
On the right side, an orchestra is playing music and ballet dancers are dancing in the autumn wind with autumn leaves dancing. This is said to represent Paolo's imagination of "holding a concert on top of the clock tower, the symbol of Ginza..."
Other images included are animals such as deer and cranes, as well as traditional festivals, tea ceremonies, and ears of rice, which represent bountiful harvests, all of which are images that reflect Paolo's image of Japan.
The stole is made of a blend of rayon and cashmere, and is thin, soft, and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. Its large size means you can wear it over your shoulders as an outer layer, or wrap it around your neck like a scarf, making it a versatile piece.
This piece expresses the beauty of Japan with soft brushstrokes and colors, and matches any outfit, from dark to light tones, so you'll definitely find yourself reaching for it again and again.
