Grand Seiko releases limited edition 45GS model

Stainless Steel Model

Grand Seiko's Heritage Collection will release two limited edition models with a reprint design of the 1968GS, the roots of the 10-beat hand-wound mechanical model that was commercialized in 45. The stainless steel model is limited to 1,200 pieces worldwide, and the 18K yellow gold model is limited to 200 pieces worldwide. Both are scheduled to go on sale on Saturday, November 11th.

This limited edition reproduction model reproduces the original model in the case and dial design of the "45GS." The flat surface with a series of distortion-free mirrored surfaces and the edgy case with its characteristic curved case sides give off a striking brilliance based on "light and shadow," a characteristic of the Grand Seiko style since its birth.

The case back is a see-through case back, allowing you to enjoy the pleasant feel and sound of winding while observing the intricate movement of the parts in the hand-winding mechanism. It is equipped with Grand Seiko's latest hand-wound mechanical movement, Caliber 9SA4, which achieves a high vibration frequency of 10 vibrations per second and a long duration of up to 80 hours.
