Complex Universal Furniture Supply, a furniture professional that produces original and custom-made furniture, has announced the Heritage Collection, a series of reproductions of classic furniture. The first in the series is the No. 80 chair designed by designer Isamu Kenmochi, as well as the MURANO MIYAKO LOUNGE CHAIR and MURANO MIYAKO THREE-SEAT SOFA designed by architect Togo Murano.
The aim of this collection is to pass on to the future the timeless and beautiful appearance of furniture created by architects and product designers of the past. All of the furniture reproduced this time has the durability and structure to be suitable for use in public facilities and commercial spaces, and their restrained design gives them a strong presence while maintaining the dignity of the entire space.

"No.1964" was designed in 80 by Isamu Kenmochi for Akita Mokko, the only company in Japan that specializes in bentwood furniture. It was discontinued in 1991, but Akita Mokko had retained the original molds, leading to the reprint. The smooth and dense wood grain unique to beech enhances the elegant form of the bentwood, and the depth of its appearance increases over time.

While working on the design of Miyako Hotel (now the Westin Miyako Kyoto), Murano Togo designed not only the building but also the furnishings within the hotel, creating the "MURANO MIYAKO LOUNGE CHAIR" and "MURANO MIYAKO THREE-SEAT SOFA." Not only do they provide a comfortable, gentle embrace, but their compact size and organic form allow them to blend in with any interior and bring harmony to the space.
This is a collection of reproductions of classic furniture that combines timeless universality and functionality with a fresh look for modern living environments. We look forward to seeing what the collection will bring to the table in the future.
