"KYOTO GASTRONOMY SUMMIT", an event where you can enjoy gourmet food in collaboration with top chefs representing Kyoto cuisine and Italian and French chefs active in various parts of the prefecture, will be held on Saturday, February 2th. Participants are being recruited on the official website (first come, first served. The event will end once capacity is reached).


Head Temple Daigoji

The venue is Daigoji Temple, the head temple of the temple, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary of being registered as a World Heritage Site and is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. Participants will travel to Daigoji Temple by bus from Kyoto Station. Upon arrival, they can enjoy seasonal dishes (collaboration menus) proposed by 3 restaurants in Kyoto Prefecture, including the long-established Michelin three-star restaurant "Hyotei" and "Qumoi," which offers modern Japanese cuisine, at the Reihokan Museum.

Judges for the KYOTO GASTRONOMY AWARD 2024. After enjoying the meal, the "KYOTO GASTRONOMY AWARD" will be held. This award supports the development of Kyoto's food culture and recognizes efforts towards sustainability and regional revitalization. Participants will be judged by four guest judges, and the award ceremony will be held on the spot. After the award ceremony, participants will be given a special tour of Daigoji Temple's cultural assets that are not open to the public.
