The Seiko House Hall will be hosting the "Crafts and Kôgei Creations - Living National Treasures Exhibition," which will bring together works by holders of important intangible cultural properties (Living National Treasures) from April 4rd to 3th.

"Living National Treasure" is the colloquial term for a "holder of an important intangible cultural property," and refers to an individual who has honed their craft skills over a long period of time, developed their own unique style, and become a leader in their field.

This 10th exhibition will display works by 5 artists from five craft fields: ceramics, dyeing and weaving, lacquerware, metalwork, and wood and bamboo work. Each artist has repeatedly engaged in dialogue with the material, and the works on display are full of charm, embodying the form of beauty they envision.

This exhibition brings together supreme works that combine advanced techniques passed down through the ages with the "beauty of utility" that fits into modern life. Admission is free, so please feel free to drop by.
