Shiroiya Hotel, an art destination in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, has added three residential-style rooms, available for longer stays, in an adjacent building, and will have its grand opening on Tuesday, April 3, 2025.

The two guest rooms have been designed and overseen by minä perhonen, a leading Japanese fashion and textile brand. Guests can relax in the carefully designed interior, which includes vintage chairs upholstered in the brand's original fabric, bed throws and curtains, as well as artwork by minä perhonen designer Akira Minagawa.

The other room, the Premium Residence, is a guest room coordinated with numerous interior masterpieces by famous designers, including Cassina, Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Philippe Starck, Isamu Noguchi, and Miguel Mira.
All three rooms are open spaces filled with light and feature a bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, and the bathrooms are equipped with drum-type washing and drying machines. From the balcony, you can see Mount Akagi, a famous peak in Gunma.
