Tomamu's "Ice Village," which appears only on winter nights every year, will soon open. This year, it will be open from December 10th to March 14th, 2026.

"Ice Village" is a fantastical space with 11 domes made of ice and snow spread across a vast 3.2 hectare site. This ice town, created to "enjoy" the bitter cold, has captivated many people.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the iconic "Ice Church," the "Ice Museum" has been newly opened. In addition, three new ice domes will be unveiled for enjoying the extreme cold. The "Ice Museum" will introduce the 20-year history of the "Ice Church," made from a single, seamless piece of ice, as well as behind-the-scenes stories of its creation and past appearances through models and photographs. You can gain a deeper understanding of Tomamu's winter story while experiencing the spirituality of this "vanishing art."

This winter, a new experience will be introduced that will allow you to enjoy the cold itself. The "Ice Restaurant" will offer a special menu that combines hot and cold dishes, such as piping hot cheese fondue made with Tomamu milk and "Ice Ramen," which is cold soup with cold noodles and frozen toppings.

At the Ice Sweets Shop, you can also experience the fun of making your own chocolate treats, such as chocolates served in ice containers or ice bars covered in warm white chocolate.

Furthermore, at the "Ice Kids Dome," children will find ice mazes and tunnels. As they pass through the transparent ice walls, they will experience the moment when the cold turns into play.

Other attractions include the "Ice Postman," where you can mail your travel memories through an ice postbox, and the "Ice Hotel" (limited to one group per day), where everything from the ceiling to the floor and furniture is made of ice.
