Artist Rima Fujita's new solo exhibition of paintings, "Evergreen - The Love and Wisdom of the Wood Spirit," will be held at the Isetan Shinjuku Art Gallery from Wednesday, November 12th to Tuesday, November 18th. During the exhibition, an artist talk and Instagram live will also be held at the venue from 2:30 pm on Saturday, November 15th.

The theme of this exhibition was inspired by Fujita's nighttime walks in Northern California, where she lives. Every night, she walks along a path lined with junipers, and has had an ongoing dialogue with one of them. "This new work was painted based on a vision of a juniper tree that appeared in a dream. 'Trees, like humans, are beings that live on this earth. They have been gazing at this planet longer and more deeply than we do,' says Fujita, and she has poured the love and wisdom that trees bestow upon her into her paintbrush.

The exhibition also features a special display of a one-of-a-kind print from the picture book "The Extraordinary Life of HH The Fourteenth Dalai Lama," which depicts the life of the Dalai Lama, who turned 90 this year. Fujita's gentle colors and prayerful brushstrokes quietly celebrate the magnificent life of the Dalai Lama.
