We want to reduce the amount of flowers that are unavoidably discarded, even if only a little. We also want as many people as possible to experience the joy of receiving, giving, and displaying flowers. With this in mind, the Ginza City Flower Gifts social contribution activity, which was launched in 2022, will be held at Sukiyabashi Park on Sunday, March 15th.

This year marks the fourth anniversary of the event, and visitors to Ginza will receive two flowers free of charge. The flowers will be fresh tulips produced in Niigata, Ishikawa, and Toyama prefectures, which are currently recovering from the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Through the act of giving flowers, the event also aims to connect feelings of support and encouragement to the producing areas.

The number of two represents the idea that one is for oneself and one is for a loved one, which is in line with the spirit of "passing on gratitude" (giving thanks to the recipient) and passing on the joy of receiving to the next.

Furthermore, on Saturday, March 14th, as a collaborative project with "TOKYO CREATIVE SALON 2026", a photo session will be held by a professional photographer. You can capture your own "flower gift" moment in spaces that are normally difficult to access, such as the Tokyo Expressway (KK Line), which will be abolished in 2025, and in front of the large windows inside Seiko House/Wako Main Store. Participation in the photo session will be by lottery in advance, and the application deadline is Thursday, March 5th.

Also on Saturday, March 14th, a "Pressed Flower Card Workshop" will be held at Sukiyabashi Park/Playground, in front of the main window on the 1st floor of Matsuya Ginza, and at the flower section on the 1st floor of UNIQLO TOKYO.

The single flower that is handed over will be displayed somewhere and convey feelings to someone else. Why not join in the action of connecting people through flowers in spring in Ginza?
