Arashiyama, selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots, is home to Hoshinoya Kyoto, located in Oku-Arashiyama, about 1km from its symbolic Togetsukyo Bridge. This special place allows guests to enjoy the cherry blossoms away from the hustle and bustle. A prime seat is provided where guests can spend an elegant time while gazing at the ever-changing natural scenery up close.

Until Thursday, April 9th, the "A Moment of Springtime" event, where you can enjoy springtime calligraphy and scenery, will be held in the sky tea room and library lounge, which offer stunning views of cherry blossoms. Guests can enjoy a luxurious time immersed in the beautiful scenery of Oku-Arashiyama, accompanied by books selected by the renowned Kyoto bookstore "Keibunsha Ichijoji Store" and seasonal beverages.

One of the highlights during the cherry blossom season is spending time in the "Water Garden," located in the heart of the inn, enjoying "A Moment by the Water Amidst Falling Blossoms." Here, while gazing at the fluttering cherry blossoms and the petals floating on the water's surface, guests can savor specially crafted Japanese sweets from the Kyoto confectionery maker "Kameya Yoshinaga" and individually brewed matcha tea, experiencing the ancient Japanese sensibility of "mono no aware," which finds beauty in transience.
