Eyewear brand JINS has opened its first global flagship store, "JINS Ginza," in the Kyobunkan Building on Ginza's Chuo-dori street.

The store's exterior, designed by world-renowned architect Sou Fujimoto, inherits the history of the Kyobunkan Building, one of Ginza's iconic architectural landmarks, while enveloping the building in a soft white exterior reminiscent of Japanese sweets and washi paper, expressing a new kind of "Wa" (Japanese style).

The building features an open atrium structure spanning the first floor above ground and the first floor below ground, with symmetrical staircases. A 5-meter-tall sculpture titled "Snow-Deer" by Kohei Nawa, a sculptor who attracted attention at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, is permanently displayed in the atrium.

To commemorate the opening, the store will offer approximately 700 items, including the "GINZA Limited Edition," a high-end eyewear collection available only at the Ginza store (6 styles, 12 types of eyeglasses; 6 styles, 6 types of sunglasses). The latest "JINS AI," equipped with a new "lens diagnosis" function, will guide you to the optimal solution from the vast selection of eyewear, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free product selection.

A gallery space has been created on the first basement floor, and until April 24th (Friday), a special installation called "Rikka" by Ikenobo, the "origin of ikebana," is being held. The traditional "Rikka," which depicts a natural landscape in a single vase, is displayed in a special arrangement that allows it to be enjoyed from all 360 degrees, not just from the usual one-way viewing.

Why not try searching for your favorite eyewear right in the heart of Ginza?
