To commemorate the 5th anniversary of its opening, Asama Kuuzanbo, a villa resort in Kita-Karuizawa, Gunma Prefecture, has unveiled a special installation by flower artist Nicolai Bergmann. The concept room, adorned with floral arrangements by Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design and available for one group per day, will be available for stays from April 28th (Tuesday).
For this project, Nikolai himself stayed on-site, developing the design while engaging with the magnificent natural beauty of Mount Asama and the space of the facility. The artwork uses preserved flowers, which are fresh flowers that have been specially processed. Through meticulous handiwork, such as wiring each flower individually and arranging the leaves into loops, a vibrant and lifelike form is created.
The base color chosen is purple, which stands out against the monochrome interior. By combining this with strong branches, warm wooden vessels, and original Arita ware, the aim was to create an expression where flowers, vessels, and the space become one.
The installation is featured in multiple spaces, including guest rooms, lounges, and restaurants, but the most immersive experience of its world can be found in the collaboration room, which is exclusive to this one building.
The setting is the Presidential Suite "Polaris." What stands out most is the "Preserved Flower Wall" adorning the wall. This colorful flower wall, with its 60cm high x 80cm wide frame and combination of 20 different types of flowers including roses and carnations, is a special work of art that can only be seen here.
The interior is adorned with multiple flower arrangements, allowing guests to enjoy a unique space with the majestic Mount Asama as a backdrop. A special anniversary plan is also available, which includes an original flower box and a chef's choice whole cake. It's highly recommended for special occasions.
Furthermore, for those who wish to take home a touch of the flowers along with their travel memories, a limited-edition flower box commemorating the 5th anniversary of the hotel's opening is also available. The side of the box is adorned with a silhouette of Mount Asama, creating a piece that evokes memories of the place even after you take it home.
A relaxing holiday spent in a space where art and nature harmoniously blend. Enjoy a stay that awakens all your senses at "Asama Sora Sanbo," which is celebrating its 5th anniversary.
