Gucci Giardino, which constantly pursues new beauty based on tradition, and SAKE HUNDRED, which is pioneering the future of sake, have come together to create a new sparkling sake, "Mitsuka." It will be available in a limited edition of 100 bottles from Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at "Gucci Giardino" in Umeda, Osaka, and "Gucci Osteria Tokyo" in Ginza, Tokyo.
Mitsuka 720ml ¥198,000 (Available from Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Gucci Giardino and Gucci Osteria Tokyo)
"Mitsuka," born from over three years of development under the concept of "a fragrant culmination of tradition and innovation," is characterized by its blend of aged and new sparkling sake. Some of the ingredients include SAKE HUNDRED's 15-year-old ice-aged vintage "Reihi." By blending this with sake that undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, the depth of the aged sake is combined with a new, light effervescence, creating a truly unique flavor.
The wine has a brilliant lemon-gold appearance. A sweet, buttery aroma is layered with herbal tones and nutty nuances, and the mouthfeel is silky smooth. The rich fruitiness and umami are balanced by acidity, resulting in a multi-layered and elegant taste.
Nagai Brewery, the brewing partner for "Reihi"
The brewery is Nagai Sake Brewery in Kawaba Village, Gunma Prefecture. Known as one of the first breweries to incorporate concepts such as "sparkling" and "vintage," learned in the Champagne region of France, into sake production, it continues to share the depth and new appeal of sake with the world.
For pairing, we recommend ingredients with robust flavors, such as sea urchin, truffles, lobster, and dishes using spicy tomato or creamy sauces. It also pairs well with Italian seafood dishes and main course-like dishes.
