Hoshino Resorts Tomamu's "Unkai Terrace," an observation facility offering breathtaking views of the fantastical sea of clouds created by Hokkaido's vast natural landscape, has opened for the season. In addition to launching a new visitor-participation event called "Cloud Wish," the resort is offering an even richer selection of content, including original merchandise and morning yoga experiences.

The "Sea of Clouds Terrace" is an observation facility accessible by a gondola ride of approximately 13 minutes one way. In addition to the main deck, which was renovated in 2021, visitors can enjoy the sea of clouds and magnificent nature while touring nine unique observation spots, including the "Cloud Pool" where you can experience the feeling of floating above the clouds, the "Cloud Walk" where you can enjoy the feeling of taking a stroll in the air, and the "Cloud Bar" which is designed to resemble a bar counter.

Since its opening in 2005, the Unkai Terrace has captivated many people and is expected to surpass 200 million cumulative visitors in the summer of 2026. To commemorate this milestone, a visitor-participation event called "Cloud Wish" has been launched. The project involves adding capsules inscribed with wishes to a cloud-shaped object to complete a single "cloud."
Furthermore, a new original product, "Cloud Candy," featuring a cloud motif, has been introduced this season. The "Sea of Clouds Terrace" also offers a free yoga program where you can enjoy the spectacular view.
Cloud Round
Starting this season, a reservation system has been introduced to alleviate congestion, making it possible to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Hokkaido's vast natural landscape at a more leisurely pace than ever before.
