Mercedes-Benz Japan has announced and begun domestic sales of the new CLA and CLA Shooting Brake, both equipped with Mercedes-Benz's highly efficient hybrid system. In addition, a special edition "Launch Edition" will be released in a limited run of 350 units to commemorate the launch of the new models.
The new CLA adopts the newly developed "Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA)" platform. Furthermore, it is equipped with the latest fourth-generation "MBUX" and "Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS)," making it a new generation model with a completely revamped drivetrain, transmission, platform, suspension, and even the digital experience.
One of the most striking exterior features is the large panoramic roof, which is standard equipment on the new CLA for the first time. It employs a seamless, one-piece fixed glass roof without a center brace, extending from the windshield to the rear. This provides a wide field of view upwards, and the use of laminated glass that blocks heat rays further reduces the effects of sunlight and heat, eliminating the need for roller blinds and creating a bright and open interior space.
The CLA Shooting Brake boasts a generous cargo capacity of up to 1,295 liters, making it highly convenient for a wide range of situations, from shopping and commuting to outdoor activities and travel.
Featuring a new MBUX virtual assistant that integrates multiple AIs, it enables natural conversations like talking to a friend.
The exterior color can be selected from a total of eight colors, including four new colors: Aqua Mint, Jet Black, Clear Blue, and MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey, which is being used for the first time on the CLA.
