A love story that transcends borders, based on historical events from 400 years ago.

The story was inspired by a historical event that has been passed down to the present day as "Goshuinsen," a performance at the Nagasaki Kunchi festival, a traditional Nagasaki event.

The story takes place 400 years ago, during the era of the Red Seal Ship trade. A Japanese merchant, Sotaro Araki, who traveled from Nagasaki to Hoi An in Vietnam, has a fateful encounter with Princess Ngoc Hoa of Vietnam.

The two, transcending national borders and social status, connected deeply. Eventually, the princess married into a family in Nagasaki, and her splendid wedding procession was depicted in the "Goshuinsen" (red seal ships). The princess, affectionately known as "Anio-san," lived peaceful days, but the great current of the era of national isolation engulfed them both...

This film centers on the trajectory of love between two people who acknowledge and try to understand each other's differences in culture, customs, nationality, and social status. It depicts Princess Anio, who, even in an era when it was no longer possible to freely cross the seas, believed in the possibility of reuniting with her family and loved ones back home and survived in a foreign land without losing hope, and Sotaro, who continued to support her.

The role of Princess Anio will be double-cast between Oto Kurisu, a former member of the Takarazuka Revue's Flower Troupe, and Do Phan Thea Han, a rising star who won an audition in Vietnam. The role of Sotaro Araki will be played by Mario Tashiro, who has an overwhelming presence in works such as "Elisabeth," and Ryunosuke Onoda, who has appeared in works such as "Les Misérables" and "Miss Saigon."

Based on a true story from approximately 400 years ago, this is a grand tale of love and hope. It is likely to be a work that prompts us, living in the modern age, to reconsider the preciousness of understanding each other despite the differences between us.
