A maple tree that produces pale blue-purple flowers in early summer. It is also known as the seasonal word for June. During the May festival in the Heian period, it was displayed along with irises and mugworts to ward off evil spirits. It is a pine tree, also known as a sandalwood tree.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 





楝 = home

 

A maple tree is said to ward off evil spirits. It produces cute small purple flowers. That is “Ku”. I read it as ``home''.
