A deep branch color with an impressive pale yellow-orange hue, created by layering gardenias dyed yellow and safflower dyed red. It is an old color that also appeared in the Engishiki ceremony of the Heian period. It is said that there was a time when its use was prohibited because it resembles the color of the crown prince's robe, ``yellow tan''. It is also called “Fukaki Kuchinashi”.
