The red color with a slight gray tint is Mizugaki-iro. Mizugaki is a word that describes the light blue-ish persimmon color, and it is said that the color was achieved by repeatedly dyeing the fabric. In the Edo period, the color dyed with persimmon tannin and red iron oxide was called "kaki."
