What is the traditional Japanese color "Clove Tea"?

It is a slightly dark yellow-brown color, and was named after the fact that it was dyed with the spice clove. At the time, cloves were very valuable, so a similar color was achieved by using yangbai, the bark of the Japanese bayberry tree, instead. The original color dyed with cloves was not very deep, as it was dyed twice with a decoction of cloves. Its noble fragrance and unique color are said to have been distinctive compared to other colors.
