Can you read it? The traditional Japanese color "moss color" is not pronounced "taiiro"

What is the traditional Japanese color "moss color"?

As the name suggests, moss-colored refers to a deep light green color like moss. There are many different types of moss, but the color name originated from the color of green moss and has been used since the Heian period. The words "moss" and "moss robe" appear in Heian literature, but these liken moss to clothing and do not refer to the color of moss-colored clothing. In later generations, the color name spread as a general color name. In Japan, there is a unique aesthetic sense in the gardens of moss-covered temples and shrines, and a culture of feeling a sense of peace is rooted there.

Moss color = Kokei-ro

It became a fashionable color for kimonos during the Edo period. In addition, willow tea, which is lighter than moss color, and sea pine tea, which is darker than moss color, were also widely used in dyeing during the Edo period. "Moss color" is pronounced "kokei-ro".
