What is the traditional Japanese color "Kaishocha"?

Miru tea is a dark yellow-green color that is a brownish tint of the miru color, which comes from the miru (seaweed) seaweed. It is a variation of miru color and is known as one of the colors that was widely loved during the Edo period. Due to its subdued tone, it was widely used for clothing, furnishings, and more. Miru tea has even more detailed classifications, and the fact that the subtle differences are distinguished and named shows the delicate sensibility of people in the Edo period toward color.

Miru is a type of brown algae, and was nicknamed "Umimatsu" (sea pine) because its thin, branching structure resembles pine needles. It grows wild mainly along the coasts of Japan, and can be found on rocky shores. "Umimatsu tea" is pronounced "mirucha."
