``Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei'' is a rice cracker shop that was founded in 1804 and has opened in Ginza since 1865. The 8th generation owner, Sohei Matsuzaki, was born in Ginza and lived there until he was 10 years old. Ginza, where our head office and head office are located, is truly our home. Mr. Matsuzaki, who knows everything about the city's new and old spots, from long-established establishments to cutting-edge establishments, chooses a comfortable izakaya with a Showa-era feel as his favorite in Ginza at night.

A store that symbolizes Ginza and is always there

A short walk from Ginza 4-chome along Namiki-dori toward Kyobashi, you will find Ginza Masumoto, an izakaya whose old-fashioned curtains evoke a nostalgic feeling. It is a popular bar with a 1st and 2nd floor, and is known for its extensive menu that will make you want to order everything, as well as its refreshing Edo-style service.

Pass through the noren curtain of ``Ginza Masumoto'' facing Namiki-dori. There is a reason why Matsuzaki likes this store. No matter how times change and how much things change, Ginza is a city where old and new coexist properly. This is because ``Ginza Masumoto'' is a store that embodies and symbolizes exactly that.

``Rather than coming here privately, it's more common for everyone to come here after a youth group or neighborhood association meeting, and before you know it, you're here,'' he says, taking a sip of his sour.

Who do you want to bring to this unpretentious and comfortable restaurant?

Mr. Mihoya, the third generation owner of this store, was also born and raised in Ginza. Matsuzaki-san and I get to know each other very well, so I can feel at ease. We drink alcohol and eat chopsticks while reporting on our current situation with Mr. Mihoya. My go-to side dishes for sake are mackerel and macaroni salad. I think this item description is ``a dish that is very typical of this restaurant.'' On this day, we also added a popular dish, a round and juicy ham cutlet.

When I was talking to the young men in Ginza, we all said yes! Sometimes I hit my knee. There are many stylish shops in Ginza that are suitable for dates, but if you want to bring a woman you really want to marry, Masumoto is the place to go. It's unpretentious, comfortable, and where you can be your usual self, but it's unmistakably Ginza. That's why it's such a valuable store.

In Ginza, where newness and oldness coexist, the neon lights of square books stand out. In Ginza, where newness and oldness coexist, the neon lights of square books stand out.

Ginza at night, where you can interact with Ginza locals and get new stimulation

When he was a child, Matsuzaki lived in Ginza, and there weren't many children around him, so he didn't have any friends. However, Ginza is a city with strong solidarity. We value the connections between each street and each neighborhood, and hold many meetings and gatherings. ``I'm now good friends with the young men in Ginza. I wish I had gotten to know them sooner,'' she says.

Shibuya, where I played when I was young, is nice, but I like Ginza, a calm, adult town. But there are also exciting places. I started going to PLUSTOKYO, a large club on the top floor of Kirarito Ginza, a commercial building that was built last year. He says he likes the club, where he can enjoy authentic music and art, something he hasn't seen before in Ginza, and frequents it often. What about the so-called "night club in Ginza"? "My father and I rarely go."

Ginza's uniqueness and charm are increasingly shining through the harmonization of people, things, and space between the past and present.
