Mr. Kenyanagi grew up in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. A standard excursion course for elementary school students was the Meiji Village Museum in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture. As an elementary school student, Kanryu came across the central entrance of the Imperial Hotel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 12, which had been relocated and restored, and was overwhelmed. It looks like an ancient ruin... What is this grandeur...? Ten years later, as an adult, the boy was reunited with his legacy at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo.
Frank Lloyd Wright's legacy as seen on a field trip for adults
Ginza has many galleries related to graphic design. Because of his work as an art director, Mr. Kuneyanagi often visits this city. She also likes looking around at clothes. A tour of Maison Hermes, Barneys Ginza store, and Dover Street Market.
In the evening of such a day, I visited the Imperial Hotel Tokyo's "Old Imperial Bar" for a drink before dinner. Of the three bars in the hotel, this is the most spacious and formal authentic bar.
``When I was in my late 20s, I went there with a friend to see Wright's architecture and walls.I was nervous because it was too difficult for young people, but when I told him honestly that I wanted to see the walls, he asked me to come and see them. I was shown to a seat in the back, and I was able to look at it to my heart's content.'' The famous bar he visited on a field trip has now become his go-to place to hang out.
"Mount Fuji" is the signature cocktail of Old Imperial Bar. It represents the sun rising over Mt. Fuji, which is covered in white snow.
Someday, enjoy a martini in a space where you can feel the premium of becoming an adult.
Wright's designs can be found throughout this bar, including the Oya stone walls, terracotta decorations, and hexagonal stools, and it retains many traces of the former Imperial Hotel main building, commonly known as the Wright Building. ``Everything about it is cool, from the round spotlights on the counter to the checkered ashtrays to the matches, the floors and walls. It's the perfect space to drink surrounded by the breath of light.'' I mostly drink beer now, but I think someday I'll have a martini here.
As an adult, he reunites with the architectural treasures he saw in his hometown in Ginza as a child. Her admiration for light came to fruition in her hometown and Ginza, and the time spent at the bar with such emotions is sure to be a happy one.

The interior retains the design of the lights well and exudes a classic atmosphere. No matter which part you cut out, it becomes a picture.
Formal bars and casual izakayas are now everyday scenes.
Another restaurant that Mr. Kanryu frequents in Ginza is Sanshuya, a popular Japanese restaurant located in Ginza 1-chome. It's a popular bar with a popular lunch menu, and you can enjoy both food and drinks in the evening. “After seeing a design exhibition in Ginza, I was first invited to eat here by someone from the office I worked at at the time, whom I still consider my mentor.Since then, I have loved it and have become friends with colleagues and friends. I started coming here often."
I'm glad that there's a shop in Ginza that I can go to any time without any hesitation. ``One day, actor Ren Osugi came by himself to this store, and I remember him looking really cool. I hope that someday I can blend into the Ginza landscape like that.''
There are places in Ginza that you can only go to as an adult. Mr. Kanryu's map of Ginza will also become uniquely interesting and enriched through his encounters with people and things.

Old Imperial Bar (Imperial Hotel Tokyo)
The former main building of the Imperial Hotel, commonly known as the Wright Building, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a world-famous architect representing the 20th century. A bar that still retains its traces. I want to enjoy the charm of an authentic bar with whiskey and cocktails. The signature cocktail ``Mount Fuji'' was created during the Taisho era to entertain a group of Americans traveling around the world. Price: 1,630 yen (tax included, service charge not included). A variety of sandwiches are available at lunch time, and a wide variety of food options are available at night, including snacks, light meals, and steaks.
