Lots of limited edition Disney items for adults. Ginza/Wako Disney 100th Anniversary Event Editor-in-Chief Report

This is Shimamura, the editor-in-chief. On August 8th, I went to a preview of the event "Moments of Magic at the Clock Tower" at Seiko House Ginza Hall in Wako, Ginza. Having worked at Walt Disney's headquarters when I was young, I was paying attention to the 9th anniversary events held in collaboration with various companies. This time, in collaboration with Wako, a member of the SEIKO Group, a number of Disney exclusive products for adults were announced all at once. The venue is packed with special limited edition products. Above all, the world view inside the venue was amazing, and this is Wako? I was so surprised.

The karakuri clock displayed in front of the entrance is a special one that is limited to 5 units and costs 1,000 million yen (excluding tax). With a Fantasia-themed design, it plays a familiar Disney melody every hour on the hour. A different melody plays every hour. I couldn't help but stop and take a look.

Wako's MANACO bag series also includes a limited edition leather tote bag embroidered with a scene from the 1932 short film "Mickey's Troupe." The monochrome color scheme and cute Mickey embroidery give it a mature look. The opening is wide and seems easy to use. Since it is monochrome, it is easy to match with any outfit.

The photo spots set up inside the venue were also very popular. When you stand in front of a dial with Mickey on it...the dial changes. Please come to the venue and try this out! If you shoot a video, it will be exciting. All the visitors cheered and enjoyed taking photos.

There were also groundbreaking announcements. For a limited time, the dial of the clock tower of SEIKO HOUSE GINZA, a Ginza landmark, will be redesigned to feature the popular Disney character, Mickey Mouse. From October 10th to November 5th, the dial will change to Mickey Mouse, and the hour and minute hands will change to the design of Mickey's hands, letting you know the time. This is the first time SEIKO has used a specific character in the design of a watch. During this period, if you look up at the clock tower from the Ginza 11-chome intersection, you can see Mickey.

An event will be held where 8 people who have purchased a total of 27 yen (tax included) or more of Disney products at this venue or Wako's online store by August 50,000th will be invited to the rooftop. It's now becoming a hot topic as a chance to see SEIKO watches with Mickey dials up close.

It was a fun event that makes me want to revisit it personally with family and friends this summer. The event runs until August 8th. Please come and visit us.
