"Tonkatsu Enraku" will be the number one restaurant in 2024
To begin with the conclusion, ``Tonkatsu Enraku'' is a restaurant that comes close to ``Sugida'' and ``Ponta'', which I listed at the top last year. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this pork cutlet shop is located in Ikegami Station on the Tokyu Ikegami Line, a place that has little use other than funerals at Ikegami Honmonji Temple.
The following two books were read about the Tonkatsu restaurant that I highly recommended in 2023.
Please eat the "Sugita" loin. Fillet is good, but roast is definitely the way to go.
A story about how delicious the loin cutlet at Tonkatsu Sugida in Kuramae is.
``Ponta Honke'', ``Tonkatsu Marugo'', and ``tonkatsu.jp Omotesando'' are also good. Details are as below.

Good restaurants are well-organized and clean. Once again, this is a store that proves the theory I envision. It means that his spirits are high.
I arrived at the same time as the store opened at 30:XNUMX in the evening. It's small with XNUMX seats at the counter and XNUMX seats at the table. The place was full in XNUMX minutes. It seems like there are regulars at all of them, and there are some older guys from the neighborhood who are willing to go in if they don't have to wait in line.
Craftsmen who work with oil have a different look. He can't let his guard down because the food will be ruined in an instant. The host chats a little with the regulars, but even at that moment the tension is still there.
First, potato salad and pickles are brought out. Pickles include turnip, radish, and cucumber. When it's time to fry, serve the rice and pork soup. Hmm, the shiny appearance of this silver shari whets the appetite. The young lady working part-time serves the food beautifully and with all her heart.
My husband cuts the cabbage each time just before the pork cutlet is fried. Isn't that attitude humbling? Cut the finished loin cutlet into crispy pieces, then place it on cabbage and enjoy!
The potato salad and pork soup are also good.
It's already a wonderful beauty. This alone is enough to convince you of the good taste. When you look at the cross section, you can see that the golden-colored batter sticks perfectly to the meat. This is my favorite type. The color of the fried meat is spectacular. The center part is slightly pink, but the rest is grayish-white and has a slight sweat of meat juice.
First, I shaved some rock salt and poured it over a piece. The harmony of the two textures, the crispy batter and the softness of the meat, is exquisite. The feeling of your teeth digging into the flesh is nice. It has the taste and sweetness of high-quality pork. As expected, it is Sangenbuta from Yamagata Hirata Farm. This is a pig with no doubts.
Next is mustard and soy sauce. Hmm, I thought that if this was good, it would be just like ``Sugida'', and as expected, my expectations were met. It's insanely delicious. Lastly, there's the mustard and sauce, which can't be bad either. The sauce is also excellent, but the soy sauce is a little better. Well, anyway, out of all the tonkatsu I've eaten this year, it was the best.
By the way, the quality of freshly cut cabbage is amazing. The width of the cut, the softness, the sweetness, the airy way it's presented. Full marks. It's hard to find cabbage that tastes this good with soy sauce. No, I was surprised. I would like you to try it.
Well, I would like to give the highest marks to the white rice and pork soup. It is a white rice that is slightly hard and has good grains. Rice is a very important part of tonkatsu. The pork soup has a lot of ingredients, and the soup stock and miso are quite strong. The potato salad is also quite good. It's just a pickled scent. It might be too sour. I'm sure the nukadoko has progressed too much. It's unnecessary, but I think it would be better to replace at least half of the rice bran on the rice bran bed with new ones. The new incense will be fresh.
So, I would like to give this store my highest praise. The neighbors are really angry. Come to think of it, two of the six people sitting at the counter ordered katsudon without even looking at the menu, and were gobbling it down. If you say something like that, then no. I was deeply jealous. Even though Ikegami is far away, it's a store that I keep coming back to.

What does "If you don't eat this, your life is ruined" mean?
When he hears something delicious, he rushes east and west to eat it all. Rumor has it that he might be the Brillat-Savarin of Reiwa, or even the return of Furukawa Roppa. Bassey is an editor with over 40 years of food-loving experience. A heart-wrenching gourmet essay.
Author profile
Bassey is a foodie who has been eating around for over 40 years. In addition to Japan, he regularly goes to Hong Kong to eat Chinese food at his own expense, and also travels to Taiwan, Singapore, Bangkok, and Seoul for delicious food. During his time as the editor-in-chief of a travel magazine, he visited many Michelin-rated restaurants around the world, especially in Europe, and later on in the World's Best 50 restaurants. We want everyone who loves food to try ``Crab Miso Bean Paste Noodles'' from ``Tenkorou'' (Hong Kong). Actually, I like the Chinese food at this restaurant the best in the world. Another example of the best Western food is "El Seger de Can Roca" from Girona, Spain, which was ranked number one on the World's Best 50 list. Ah, I want to go there again.
