The history of Ine Funaya is not clear, but it is said that it existed during the Edo period, and the townscape still remains as it was back then. Ine is known as one of Japan's three major yellowtail fishing grounds, along with Himi City in Toyama Prefecture and the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture. It seems that the town was very wealthy from that time due to the great catch of yellowtail.

An inn that opened in 2020 and is limited to one group per day. This inn features a ceramic open-air bath on the terrace facing the sea on the first floor. A great attraction is being able to enjoy bath time while looking out at the Ine Funaya townscape with the sound of the waves in the background. The hot water is brought in from Okuine Onsen. The thick water with a pH of 1 is good for the skin, especially for women.

The first floor is a living room with a sofa, and the second floor is a Western-style bedroom with two beds. This is basically an inn where you can stay without meals, but breakfast can be reserved for an additional fee. For lunch and dinner, I would like to make a reservation at a nearby restaurant. During the day, sightseeing boats and fishing boats come and go on the ocean that stretches out before your eyes, and at night, the stars are astoundingly beautiful. You'll want to gaze at the scenery from this inn all day long.
