Stay as if you were living in a spectacular view called Japan's original scenery
Approximately 50 minutes by car from Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three most scenic spots. In the northern part of the Tango Peninsula, there is the Ine Funaya, a spectacular view that is called the ``original landscape of Japan.'' Along Ine Bay, uniquely constructed buildings called Funaya are lined up for 5 kilometers, and there are about 230 of them. This beautiful townscape, which looks as if it is floating on the sea, has been selected as a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings.
The history of Ine Funaya is not clear, but it is said that it existed during the Edo period, and the townscape still remains as it was back then. Ine is known as one of Japan's three major yellowtail fishing grounds, along with Himi City in Toyama Prefecture and the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture. It seems that the town was very wealthy from that time due to the great catch of yellowtail.
Facing Ine Bay, Ine's boathouses stand side by side, protruding into the sea. Sceneries of rows of boathouses can be seen elsewhere along the Sea of Japan coast, but Ine is the only one with 230 boathouses.
As you enter from the coast, you will find a nostalgic townscape.
A boat house facing the sea, with a boat garage on the first floor and a living room on the second floor. As the city closest to the sea in Japan, in recent years it has been promoted to the world on social media. Many people from all over the world are drawn to the beautiful cityscape. As a result, more and more boathouses have been built for rent, and stylish cafes and restaurants have sprung up in the city, bringing back vitality to the city.
Many day-trip tourists visit Ine Funaya, a unique space that blends with the sea, but why not take the time to stay here and spend some relaxing time gazing out at the sea? It's sure to be an unforgettable memory.
The concept of “Funaya no Yado Kagiya” is a fishing experience-type guesthouse.
Funaya Inn Kagiya is a rental inn full of hospitality. The first floor is the dining room, and the second floor is the bedroom and observation room. The concept is a ``fishing experience guesthouse,'' and you can experience fishing tours on a boat owned by a locksmith. There is also a cruising service, and if the weather is good, you can enjoy a 1-minute cruise on the sea.
Dishes made with fresh seafood caught in the morning are popular.
Kagiya's popularity is also due to its cuisine, which focuses on seasonal fish caught in Ine Bay. Not only are the fish dishes delicious, but the restaurant's attention to flavor is amazing, such as using the highest-ranked special A Koshihikari rice. The owner couple and their eldest son, who made a U-turn in 2009, will now operate the inn. Many repeat customers are drawn to the homely atmosphere and visit often.

``Ine no Funaya Fuga'' A luxurious inn with a bathtub that looks like it's floating on the sea
An inn that opened in 2020 and is limited to one group per day. This inn features a ceramic open-air bath on the terrace facing the sea on the first floor. A great attraction is being able to enjoy bath time while looking out at the Ine Funaya townscape with the sound of the waves in the background. The hot water is brought in from Okuine Onsen. The thick water with a pH of 1 is good for the skin, especially for women.
It is a valuable experience to be able to stay in a boathouse in Ine, which is said to be the closest to the sea.
The first floor is a living room with a sofa, and the second floor is a Western-style bedroom with two beds. This is basically an inn where you can stay without meals, but breakfast can be reserved for an additional fee. For lunch and dinner, I would like to make a reservation at a nearby restaurant. During the day, sightseeing boats and fishing boats come and go on the ocean that stretches out before your eyes, and at night, the stars are astoundingly beautiful. You'll want to gaze at the scenery from this inn all day long.

“Ine Funaya Stay Minagi” A modern inn where you can travel as if you were living there.
A rental inn that can accommodate up to 6 people. The first floor has a living room and dining room. On the second floor, there are bedrooms on the sea side and road side that can accommodate up to three people each. The exterior looks like an old boathouse, but once you step inside, you'll find an urban atmosphere with a luxurious, simple, modern interior. The living room facing the sea has a large comfortable sofa and a rug. It is equipped with floor heating, a washlet, free Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and tableware, so you can feel like you are staying in a vacation home.
In a world where the sea and sky are one, I want to live my life according to my desires without looking at the clock.
It's no surprise that the concept of this inn is ``traveling as if you were living there.'' Ideal for group trips of 5-6 people or 2 households. No meals will be provided, so we recommend using restaurants and shops within Ine Town.
