Karuizawa Mori Shiki VILLA is located in Karuizawa, where the seasons change beautifully. It is conveniently located within walking distance of Hoshino Onsen, just 1km away, but is also a space that can be called a private residence in the forest, surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle. There are four villas on the premises, all of which are available for rent. This is neither an inn nor a hotel, but a special space exclusively for guests.
It is the perfect environment for those who want to relax and enjoy their time surrounded by nature without worrying about their surroundings.
The four villas have spacious gardens and decks, allowing you to relax without worrying about your surroundings.
The most important thing at Karuizawa Mori Shiki Villa is the idea of "living with the four seasons." There are four accommodation buildings, each named "MIDORI," "HIKARI," "KAZE," and "TOKI," embodying the breath of spring, the breeze of summer, the harvest of autumn, and the serenity of winter.

"KAZE" A quiet space surrounded by trees.

There is an open-air bath in the spacious garden.
"MIDORI" is a three-bedroom space that is ideal for staying with family and friends. It has a garden of over 3 square meters, a 50 square meter wooden deck, and a Danish wood stove inside, so you can truly experience the greenery and breeze of Karuizawa to your heart's content.
"HIKARI" features a distinctive triangular roof and a private moss garden with BBQ, bonfires, a Nordic open-air wood-burning bath, hammocks, and more. Guests can enjoy a private time here.
"Kaze" is a tranquil building for two, equipped with high-end vintage Scandinavian furniture and a Scandinavian open-air bath. You will be able to spend a luxurious time soaking in the bathtub facing the moss garden.
TOKI, which opened in August 2024, has three bedrooms and even a foot bath on the wooden deck, creating a space where you can slowly relieve stress.

In winter, you can enjoy the flickering of a fire in the fireplace.

Each building has a large deck where you can enjoy meals, reading, or whatever you like.

There is a foot bath on the terrace of "TOKI."
All units are equipped with high-quality furnishings and facilities, including audio equipment from Bang & Olufsen and amenities from LE LABO, so you can feel at home even in the middle of nature. Of course, pets are also allowed.
Additionally, 24-hour butler service is provided to ensure a comfortable stay.
Restaurant & Bar "HONO" - Enjoy the luxury of tasting local seasonal ingredients in a natural setting
Guests can enjoy BBQ in each building, but there is also a restaurant called "HONO" on the premises. The dining area is designed to look as if it is floating in the forest, and serves charcoal grilled dishes made with the bounty of Shinshu's seasonal produce.
Rare red meat, Wagyu beef, and pork ribs are grilled by the kilo in a wild and daring way.

From "HONO" you can see the VILLA.

Grilling the meat over charcoal allows you to fully enjoy its flavor.
There is also a wide selection of wines, from nature wines to grand vins, and you can also enjoy pairings with local craft gin and sake. During bar time, many guests sip their glasses while watching the flames of the bonfire, making for a memorable night in tranquility.
A stay in the forest teaches you the true essence of abundance
The great appeal of this villa is that you don't just "stay overnight," but "stay in the forest." Wake up to the chirping of birds in the morning, relax beneath the sunlight filtering through the trees during the day, and gather around a bonfire at night gazing at the stars. You'll be surrounded by time and an atmosphere you can't experience in the city, and you'll be able to really face yourself and your loved ones. Time to do nothing, a space where you can truly relax, is a luxury that can only be achieved in a place that is neither a villa nor a hotel. A stay embraced by the blessings of nature while enjoying the changing seasons with all your senses is truly extraordinary.
The "Karuizawa Mori Shiki" VILLA is the perfect place for a trip back to yourself while enjoying the beautiful four seasons of Karuizawa. It's a space I would recommend to adults who know the true richness of nature, and I would call it my own "private forest residence."
