A View of the Sanriku Coast: Nagisatei Taro-an
A view like a gigantic rock garden
Nagisatei Taro-an, known affectionately as just "Taro-an," is a hotel in Miyako, Iwate. Miyako's ria coast is well known as a sightseeing destination, and at Jodogahama in particular the view almost looks like a rock garden. The name "Jodogahama" means "Beach like the Pure Land," and is said to refer to the area's beauty.
Taro-an stands on a cliff not far away, boasting beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the rugged landscape of rock and pine.
